Updated 4/30/20:

Like many institutions, we have been limiting access to our lobbies to "by appointment only" in response to the restrictions enacted by both Ohio and West Virginia to reduce the of spread of the virus.  Earlier this week, both states announced their respective plans for easing those restrictions and allowing some businesses to reopen. Both states are using a phased in approach.

We are monitoring developments with these plans to determine when it may be appropriate to reopen our lobbies.  We also are finalizing plans to comply with the social distancing and other safety standards that are being mandated by the Ohio and West Virginia plans.

At this point, we anticipate allowing access to our lobbies to resume starting either late May or early June subject to some limitations.  We will update you once we have a firm date. In the meantime, appointments can be made by contacting our Member Solutions Team at either 740-236-4308 or via email to [email protected]. You may also call either our Belpre or Marietta office.

Our Member Solutions Team remains available to assist all members.  We are still offering our Relief Loan which provides small dollar loans at 0% interest. Learn more about this program at And starting May 4, we will be lowering the rates on most of our consumer loans. For example, qualified borrowers can get a new auto loan at a rate as low as 1.39% (1.49% APR).

Updated 4/2/20:

Governor Mike DeWine has announced the Stay-at-Home order will be extended until May 1. Riverview Credit Union lobbies will remain closed until the order has been lifted.

Updated 3/23/20:

As a result of Governor Mike DeWine's Stay-at-Home order, Riverview Credit Union has made the decision to close lobbies to appointment only to manage the risk of spread. This will go into effect at the start of the Stay-at-Home order on Tuesday, March 24, until at least April 6. Appointments can be made by calling one of the numbers listed on our Contact Us page. During this time, the Vienna branch will be closed and staff will be working out of our office locations. 

Drive-thrus will continue to operate as normal during this time, and we continue to recommend you take advantage of our amazing online banking services

During these unprecedented times, we are committed to being available to serve your financial needs and providing the consistently high level of service you have come to expect from Riverview. At the same time, the safety, security, and well-being of our members and staff are a top priority for us.

Accessing your Accounts

We recognize that “social distancing”, as described by the Center for Disease Control (CDC), is the most prudent approach to minimize community impact. Still, we intend to maintain normal operations of our three office locations to the fullest extent possible so you have continued access to your accounts which includes keeping our lobbies open. But this could change at any moment. We recommend monitoring our website and/or social media channels for updates.

We also strongly encourage members to use checks or your debit card instead of carrying large sums of cash. Please remember that your funds are safe and secure, backed by the complete confidence of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) — an independent United States government agency dedicated to protecting credit unions and our members. 2020 Annual Meeting

Based on the current CDC guidelines and corresponding orders issued by the Office of Governor, Mike DeWine, and Ohio Department of Health prohibiting mass gatherings and restrictions on various  businesses and organizations, we have been forced to make changes to our previously scheduled Annual Meeting of Members. The meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 15th at the Marietta Office.  Additionally, there will no longer be a social, meal, or prizes; only a formal business meeting that will still start at 11:00 A.M. Attendance at the meeting will be limited to no more than 15 members, which is the minimum needed to constitute a quorum.

We will be using the funds previously budgeted for the Annual Meeting to support local food banks and other organizations providing assistance to individual affected the current epidemic.

Helping Our Members

We recognize the restrictions being placed on various businesses and organizations will impact our members to varying degrees. Our Member Solutions Team is available to assist members who may be experiencing a financial hardship due to recent events and circumstances in our region. We stand ready to support our members as needed, whether it is waiving certain fees or offering payment accommodations. We have also expanded our lending programs to include a special short-term loan product for affected members that will provide small dollar loan at 0% interest.

Avoid Scams and Fraud

With the increasing concerns regarding COVID-19, criminals are using this time to create scams in an attempt to steal your personal information or infect your devices with harmful malware. As always, be cautious with unsolicited emails and phone calls. Never open unknown attachments, click on unknown links, or provide personal identifiable information via an unsecure website. Be cautious of emails and phone calls offering unexpected or unprompted information or in which the sender/caller requests your personal information.

There has been an increase in questions, concerns, and news about COVID-19 and how communities and local businesses or organizations should prepare for the possibility of the virus progressing. As such, we wanted to reach out to assure you Riverview Credit Union is aware and mindful of the situation.

Riverview Credit Union is dedicated to the safety, security, and well-being of our members and staff. In addition to our mobile app, we would like to encourage you to set up direct deposit of your paychecks and any other reoccurring deposits for your accounts. These services can assist in making the day-to-day management of your money easier and more efficient.
While it is impossible for anyone to predict the spread of COVID-19 and fully determine its impact on our day-to-day lives, the virus does not affect Riverview Credit Union’s focus to serve our members and communities.
