Kerns Celebrates 10 Years with Riverview

Riverview Credit Union associate, Darla Kerns, recently celebrated her 10-year anniversary with the financial institution.

Ms. Kerns currently serves as Special Assets Manager for Riverview, a position she has held since January 2016. In this role, Ms. Kerns is responsible for the collection policies, procedures, and practices of the credit union.  She also handles various collection activities, including managing repossessed collateral and negotiation of borrowers with delinquent accounts.

“We are very fortunate to have an individual with Darla’s background and experience on our team,” said Doug Ankrom, Riverview’s President and CEO. “She works diligently with borrowers who are experiencing financial difficulties to develop a mutually beneficial plan for repaying their loans.  Under her supervision, Riverview’s delinquent loan and net charge-offs have consistently been below peer averages.”

Ms. Kerns joined Riverview in 2011 as a Collector, a position she held until 2016 when she was promoted to her current position.  Prior to joining Riverview, Kerns served as a workout specialist at a local community bank for two years and a supervising collector in the banking division of a medium-sized collection agency for nearly 10 years. She also worked for a nationally recognized glass manufacturer in various support functions, including assistant to the company’s president.

She currently resides in Waverly, West Virginia, with her husband, Doug.
